“Life is short and then you die,” is a statement that people use to infer that life sucks, there is no meaning, and the final blow is death. They seem content to shrug off life with a defeatist attitude and refuse to find the joy. Instead, look for meaning.

I do agree that life is short. That is why it is so very important to do things that matter. Spend your time doing what you love and be present in the now with the people that you love.

You may be angry with God for the losses in life like I was, but I have discovered that Oneness is always there waiting for you to connect—to call home. Answers come when asked for–if you will listen and are open to the direction and inspiration. You are not left comfortless and Angels are all around you all the time.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. ~ 1 John 4:16

Life is short but it is also magical because you can choose to find the meaning and beauty in everything on a daily basis. When your heart is broken, for whatever reason, it is an opportunity for the expansion and growth of your heart. It is the perfect time to let in greater love, not the time to shut down and withdraw your love from life.

Death is not the end. Love is eternal; no matter what the fear based churches may tell you to the contrary. Death is part of the cycle of life. You see it everywhere in nature—the beginnings and the ending, the circle of life, the yin and the yang. It is not to be feared or cursed but viewed as the new beginning that it is.

Many who are touched by those who are dying have found new meaning in their lives. Those who begin to fade in this world seem to connect early to the world beyond this one. Knowing that this life is short—and it is short no matter how long you live—is all the more reason to have joy, to experience life to the fullest.

See the good in life, choose meaningful activities and relationships. It is your life story, no one else’s to create—so go cast yourself as the hero in life your own unique way.

Life is short, go out and live it with passion. You will find God is there.
