Be Conscious of Consciousness
What is consciousness as we speak of it in The Consciousness Guide? Recently in my Facebook contacts someone asked, at what age did you become conscious? Even though conscious living is “my thing” I still wondered what they meant by that question.
It is possible that consciousness may be experienced differently by each soul in its own unique way. To live consciously is to be aware of your thoughts and feelings as your creation and to make each one as an aware choice in a mindful way. [blockquote cite=”Lao Tzu” type=”left”]The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.[/blockquote]
There is an accelerated awakening to a higher consciousness happening on earth right now. Many people are “unplugging from the matrix” as it were. It is possible to come to a state of consciousness slowly or in a flash of enlightenment. Anybody, whether they are spiritually enlightened or not may find that they are suddenly “conscious,” and be somewhat confused by that state.
Listen to the uplifting music of “Laughing Bird” and the song titled “Who is the Watcher” that embodies being conscious of consciousness.
I finally reached a critical mass in my own life experience to arrive at a feeling of oneness with the Universe. I walked around for days in love with life and every part of it, overflowing with this energy of love that spilled out in laughter and tears. Unfortunately, it is difficult to function day to day in this state of being—it is hard to take every-day life very seriously. This is the definition of consciousness in its purest sense.
When you feel one with all of life, know that others are part of a whole that includes you and that the whole is Love. It is a “high” like no other. I imagine it must be the “bliss” that the eastern philosophies speak of. You discover that you are changed by this knowing and will never look at life in the same way ever again.
When you are conscious you are aware of yourself as a personification of energy. You are an actor on the stage of life and you know that the personality that you formerly thought of as “YOU” is not. You are able to step back from what Eckhart Tolle defines as the “ego self” and be the Higher Self. Video – The Egoic Mind For more information go to the recommended reading list at Books.
If this has happened to you, then you will know what I am talking about. If it has not happened to you, do not worry about it. It does NOT mean that you are any less in ANY way. In truth, we are all one and it is happening to us in a collective sort of way anyway. All happens in the time frame that is perfect for the individuation of Source energy manifesting through you. All is perfection.
If this all sounds like Greek to you, think of consciousness simply as the ability to step out of the drama of life moment by moment, or thought by thought, and look at things from a higher perspective.
In The Consciousness Guide we will explore looking at all aspects of ourselves in a more conscious way. Isn’t that fun? It is the great adventure of life. [blockquote cite=”Tom Robbins” type=”left”]Our greatest human adventure is evolution of the consciousness. We are in this life to enlarge the soul, liberate the spirit, and light up the brain.[/blockquote]
So, after all that I am so curious…are YOU conscious?
