Creating Sacred Space on Wheels
Whether you travel in an RV, camper, or truck cab this summer, and no matter where you are, the angels are there with you. On the open road and beneath miles of open sky, a quiet revolution can unfold. Awakening can happen in an instant.
I want to demonstrate that no matter where you find yourself, you can create a sacred space anywhere, even in a truck cab—that intimate cocoon where we log thousands of miles—doesn’t have to be just a utilitarian space.
For many of us walking the spiritual path, our car, truck, or motor vehicle can become something far more powerful: a temple on wheels. (See the Arch of the Covenant below.)
For me, it has been a test to surrender, to trust in the divine, and to be empowered to remain in touch with holy energy and angels regardless of the circumstances.
Life sets us up for daily awakenings, wherever we are, regardless of what is happening. Let’s create conscious space.

Calling in the Angels on the Road
Your truck, RV, or camper can be more than just a means of transport—it can be a sanctuary. A sacred container. A place where the angelic realm is always welcome. I’ve learned that no matter the road, I’m never truly alone when I cultivate presence and invite divine guidance.
Here are some of the ways I consciously transform my rolling home into a space where Spirit rides shotgun:
Mini Altars & Sacred Objects—Engage the Senses
Even a dashboard has room for reverence. I keep a small bag with special objects as focal points, such as:
- Crystals: Selenite for clarity, amethyst for protection, and rose quartz for heart-centered travel.
- Oracle or angel cards: These serve as both inspiration and divine check-ins.
- Feathers, stones, or charms: Natural reminders of angelic presence and earth wisdom.
- A travel-sized statue or symbols: Such as the Buddha or Mother Mary, that serves as a spiritual anchor.
(Important: No candles in your vehicles.) It would be a good idea to carry a portable fire extinguisher. I see too many car fires on the road.

Sacred Sounds & Vibrations
Sound is a bridge to Spirit. Whether you’re moving or parked, tuning the energy of your cab is powerful.
- High-frequency music like 528Hz tracks on YouTube
- Tuning forks or singing bowls: Great for resetting the energy at rest stops. I use Solfeggio tuning forks.
- Angelic invocations or mantras whispered or sung aloud
Let sound sweep out the stagnant and call in the sacred energy.
Spoken Word & Sacred Rituals
- Morning prayer before ignition: I ask for safe passage, clear awareness, and angelic protection.
- Evening gratitude ritual: A simple “thank you” for the day’s miles, insights, and synchronicities.
- Spoken blessings over meals or even over fuel pumps—transforming the mundane into meaningful.
Oils, Incense & Sensory Blessings
I love using essential oils to anoint my skin. A single drop of lavender or frankincense can shift my mood and the vibration of the cab. A quick spritz of a clearing spray invites a calm and uplifted atmosphere, perfect for driving with presence.
Movement as Prayer
Yes, I do stretch in my bunk. Sometimes it’s yoga, sometimes it’s just rolling out tension. Every movement is a way of honoring the body temple. Other ideas for spiritual movement on the road:
- Qi Gong or breathwork by the trailer
- Walking meditations at truck stops or rest areas
- Dancing in the parking lot with headphones in—no judgment!
Grounding the energy on solid earth becomes very important in a traveling lifestyle. Nature is the cure for much that ails the body and mind.

More Ways to Invite the Sacred
For those in RVs, campers, or extended travel, have fun with the possibilities:
- Hang twinkle lights for ambiance and joy
- Keep a travel journal or sketchpad for spiritual reflections
- Try cloud gazing or stargazing as a mobile contemplative practice
- Use nature offerings (like shells or acorns) as talismans from each stop

My latest find from Spirit was a dragonfly, which to me is the ultimate symbol of transformation. Enjoy the now.
The Temple Moves With You
The beauty of this practice is its portability. You don’t need a mountaintop monastery to feel close to the Divine. Your mobile sanctuary can be just as sacred—maybe even more so because it’s forged on the move, under ever-changing skies.
When I treat my truck like a temple, I notice I drive more gently. I breathe more deeply. I listen more fully. And most of all, I remember that I’m never the only one behind the wheel. Ultimately, you are the temple, of course, and you need nothing but that knowing.
No matter where we are in our travels, the angels ride with us—every mile, every moment.

Hi Lindsay,
I thought I would share with you a beautiful story! I found my biological father a few years ago after about a 40yr search. We met a few times and he did pass, but I so so treasure the experience and the connectedness we shared. I was thrilled that his last name was Godfree!! It is a truly blessed name and I just felt that it was a blessing also, when I found you! It is also funny that my husband and I just came home from a trip to the Gulf in our motorhome!! So, I took this opportunity to send you this message!! Love, hug, and blessings always,
Mary Beth
This is wonderful, thank you.
